Parties and Programs

I spent most of the last week of school attending programs and hosting parties in the kids' classes. Kennedy performed a poem during her class program. She invited her brother to participate in the production. They had such a good time.

Polar Express at the McWane Center

We went to the McWane Center downtown to enjoy a Polar Express Party. We were able to meet Santa and have hot chocolate and cookies. The kids got to enjoy all of the activities at the Center, which included a hurricane tube (where the wind got up to 78mph), a mind game, etc. We ended the night watching Polar Express in the IMAX dome. It was a wonderful time and a great experience for our family.

Carter's fieldtrip to the farm

Carter's kindergarten class went on a fieldtrip to Old Baker's Farm in November. I was extremely sick with a stomach virus, so Brad went with him. They had a great time and the weather was beautiful. Carter brought me home a pumpkin. He was able to pick cotton, feed and pet animals, and go on a hayride. They also went through a hay maze. We've been to Old Baker's Farm about 8 times in the three years we've lived here. It is always such a great time.
