We went to the Youngs' party for the LSU/ Auburn game. For those of you who have never lived in Alabama....there are only 2 college football teams that exist to these people (Alabama and Auburn). My children have lived here too long, because Kennedy is an Auburn fan and Carter is an Alabama fan (although, on this night he wore Auburn clothes). They are told at school, they have to choose either Alabama or Auburn. We are trying hard to reverse the brainwashing that occurs, but right now they are determined to be non LSU fans. I KNOW they will grow out of this. We had a blast at the party. Brad and I were the only LSU fans there and we WON!!!! Everyone was very gracious and enjoyed the "Louisiana" food we brought. Now, to defeat Alabama in November! GEAUX Tigers!!!!

I'll never forget when we first moved here 9 years ago. We were immediately asked 2 questions: #1: what church do you go to (imagine my new neighbor's dismay when they found out we were CATHOLIC!!! GASP!!) and #2: who do you go for: Auburn or Alabama. Taylor used to tell people, "I'm a NY Jets fan." Yes, we fit right in. Ha! ha!
